Several Foyers de Charité welcome young people wishing to dedicate a year to God.

These young people provide a missionary service to the adults, young people and students living at the Foyer de Charité.

If you are between the ages of 18 and 30 and wish to offer a year to God while living in a community, the Foyers de Charité offer you a powerful human experience with a combination of:

  • a sound intellectual training that gives you a foundation in anthropology, theology and ethics (courses);
  • a deepening of the spiritual life in order to anchor your faith in God;
  • a missionary service that leads to testimonies;
  • a personal reflection to take stock of your life and work out your plans for the future.

Why go on spiritual retreat ?

Whatever the reasons, the spiritual retreat is a breathing space in a setting that inspires inner reflection. The setting, silence and pace of the retreat give the participants the freedom to open up to themselves and to God.

A spiritual retreat is a break for the heart and the mind. It creates a breathing space for:

  • Relaxing, resting and finding comfort in the middle of our very busy lives;
  • Meeting with God in silence, reading his Word and rekindling the fire of our faith;
  • Reflecting on the meaning of our existence, taking a step back before making important choices;
  • Exploring the key questions of life and gaining a better understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith.
