Le Foyer de Bonheiden se trouve à mi-chemin entre Bruxelles (Brussel) et Anvers (Antwerpen) ; à 5 km de Malines (Mechelen) dans la partie flamande du pays.
Pendant plus de 50 ans, nous avons accueilli des retraites et divers groupes cherchant le calme et le silence dans le château Zellaer, les annexes et un bois de 18 hectares. Le grand âge de la communauté actuelle ne nous permet plus cet accueil, alors nous sommes devenus un Foyer de prière et de soutien mutuel.
Nous sommes dans l’action de grâce puisque le domaine accueille toujours des familles avec leurs enfants, des promenades dans le bois, des activités de jeunes, un bar d’été... Les bâtiments doivent être mis aux normes actuelles et nous attendons les dernières autorisations pour les travaux nécessaires.

Why go on spiritual retreat ?
Whatever the reasons, the spiritual retreat is a breathing space in a setting that inspires inner reflection. The setting, silence and pace of the retreat give the participants the freedom to open up to themselves and to God.
A spiritual retreat is a break for the heart and the mind. It creates a breathing space for:
- Relaxing, resting and finding comfort in the middle of our very busy lives;
- Meeting with God in silence, reading his Word and rekindling the fire of our faith;
- Reflecting on the meaning of our existence, taking a step back before making important choices;
- Exploring the key questions of life and gaining a better understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith.
